Meet your VCS LEAD Coordinator
Denise Koebcke: Student Leadership Coordinator
Mrs. Koebcke has worked in the Valparaiso School System for 27 years and has been an educational consultant in the field of peer aggression, school climate, and student leadership and empowerment for 19 years. She also serves on the Youth Dating Violence Prevention Task Force and the Cabinet for the Caring Place and is their Youth Outreach Coordinator and creator of the Amanda Forum, a youth dating violence prevention and awareness youth task force. In her current role as Valpo Schools' Student Leadership Coordinator, Mrs. Koebcke creates and coordinates current research-based pro-social climate programming. Her primary focus is VCS LEAD Mentor programming as well as developing and presenting both community and district-wide trainings. With an emphasis on peer mentoring, community outreach, positive student leadership, and developing pro-social behaviors, the VCS LEAD framework spans stakeholders in preschool through senior living communities in the Valparaiso area. Mrs. Koebcke has presented at many international conferences including the 2019 International Bullying Prevention Association World Conference in Chicago, 2018 International Institute of Restorative Practices World Conference in Detroit and the 2017 School Behavioral Health Annual Conference in South Carolina.
